to build new homes for families in our community.
Low Country Habitat was extremely busy in 2011!
They hope to have as productive a year this year as they did in 2011, and will need your help!

Our Second Annual Community Chili Cook-Off
Saturday, January 28, 2012 - 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Thanks be to God, the Presbyterians are joining us for the chili cookoff! Last Wednesday night, Pastor Mullen crashed the Sea Island Presbyterian Wednesday night program, banging his chili pot and spoon. He threw down the gauntlet (oven mitt) and challenged Pastor Steve Keeler to a Pastor vs Pastor Chili Cookoff. Pastor Keeler took up the mitt and the challenge. Therefore, we now expect lots of SIPC members to show up for the main event - our annual chili cookoff.
So, dust off your favorite recipe and prepare a large pot of chili to share.
Celebrity judges will award fabulous prizes.
Can you make a
better chili than Candace, Pastor Shannon, or Mike? Can you
make more unusual chili than Roger?
And even more
importantly, can Pastor Shannon beat Pastor Steve Keeler in a pastor against pastor chili match up?
St. John’s Annual Chili Cookoff is a great fun community event - again this year's funds raised will go to help build the next Habitat for Humanity Church House.

The first annual St. John's Community Chili Cookoff for Habitat for Humanity was held last year on Saturday, April 9, 2011, here at St. John's. $700.00 was raised for the next Habitat for Humanity church house! Click here for results and some pictures.
